Website Migration - Complete -

Recommended Posts

Roll the Dice website is coming home to an Australian webhost!

Possible downtime on Monday 11/6/12 after 6pm

So what this will mean is speed, speed and more speed with loading pages etc etc

Stay tuned for updates tomorrow!

Website will be coming down while it's transferred at 7:35pm approx 8pm

At present, i don't have a time estimate since our current host is in USA and it could possibly be a slow transfer.

New hosting migration was a success so far. Hopefully everyone will notice the speed increase in browsing the forums!

While we wait for the domain name to transfer and then propagate, we can use the temporary URL: http://112.140.177.17/~rtdclan1/forum/index.php

I'll post back when the domain name is ready to use (can be up to 5 days before it's released, thanks old host..)

As always, any issues or errors, let me know ASAP.

*Cookies might not be working until the domain name is working, so you'll have to log in every time.

Nice job Phoby.

I like the IP better. Sorts out the real members from the wannabes! :P

P.S. You forgot to reset Shrives' post count...

I think the real question is, why aren't we on IPv6?! Lol.

Seriously though, solid pat on the back to Phoby who's taken care of all the legwork. Now hopefully things settle back down to how we remember them.

Update.

The original clan URL should have propagated by now and should be working again.

Dont forget to clear your browsers cache and/or cookies if you're having issues.

So that means we're now offically running back to normal on our new aussie host!

+1.

Very well done digger. It seems all my posts made it...

Except now as you post, it counts downwards instead of upwards :P

Nice work Phoby! Now you just need to move it to an NZ host for me!
