Phobos 1,212 Report post Posted April 9, 2017 (edited) 32GB of ram? Are you like me, running lots of VM's? If not, I would consider 16GB. Especially since it's $400+ ! Very juicy, otherwise ! Edited April 9, 2017 by Phobos 1 Go to top Share this post Link to post

Decroxx 816 Report post Posted April 10, 2017 The only issue I can see is that the shipping address isn't my house. Otherwise, it looks like a proper powerhouse. 3 Go to top Share this post Link to post
MiniSanders 588 Report post Posted April 10, 2017 Will everything fit in the case? It says compact... and I know 1080's aren't compact Go to top Share this post Link to post
bprc 1,441 Report post Posted April 10, 2017 Just had a look. Case allows max GPU length of 370mm. That card is 280mm long. Plenty of space. 1 Go to top Share this post Link to post
RallyMan 304 Report post Posted April 11, 2017 jebus for an extra $20 i would go the pro 240 cooler (dual radiator) this will be much better if you overclock the cpu and although you might not now at some stage you will give it a crack did you look at the msi x99a motherboard more rgb will sit well with that case and ram and only $30 more this whole thing looks very similar to what i have been thinking of upgrading to so keen to know how it goes Go to top Share this post Link to post

fencer 175 Report post Posted April 13, 2017 I have 32gig of ram and its over kill but if you want to get more bang for buck then you could save some money by going 16gig ram and using some of the savings towards an M2 pcie drive. Load your fav games on that puppy and say good bye to loading screens like I have check your motherboard accepts this. It should. Samsung 500GB SSD, 960 EVO Series, m.2 (PCIE), Read up to 3200MB/s, Write up to 1500MB/s, Type 2280 $349.00 https://www.scorptec.com.au/product/Hard-Drives-&-SSDs/SSD-mSATA-&-m.2/66025-MZ-V6E500BW Go to top Share this post Link to post

Jebusohmighty 477 Report post Posted April 15, 2017 Got an email saying it's ready to pick up but at the bottom it said not open till Tuesday due to the long weekend. My heart actually hurt a little Had to go with Mwave instead of PC Case Gear as they ran out of stock for 2 big items Upgraded the cooling system as advised. They didn't have that mother board in stock so went with the original and got a bigger case to play it safe and room for expansion in the future. Extra $40 for a similar case. I wish I had read this before I payed lol .... Load your fav games on that puppy and say good bye to loading screens Got a 2 month long field exercise in July which means extra monies so i'll potentially grab one then. 5 Go to top Share this post Link to post
TheDredd 61 Report post Posted April 18, 2017 Moar Cooling, I am with Rally, dual size radiator would be a good idea, it is a 140w CPU. The Corsair H105, H110i or the H115i depending on what will fit 240mm(H105) will fit in the top but 280mm(H110i and H115i) will fit in the front of that case. M.2 is a new level of awesome and a intel 600p M.2 1TB is $499 it may be with the little extra. Which ever way to go this will be an awesome system. Go to top Share this post Link to post
