Agreed, not keen on another frost-bitten title.

The collision rag dolls look worse than BF3's early builds, and that is saying something.

But I wants it to be good...............

I would have played more if it wasn't for overwatch but i hit lvl 45 in the beta and to be honest ... last few days i wanted to jump on and play more!  This was one map and same game mode and I enjoyed it. It was just raw battlefield with no lock on fancy gadgets. I'm going to play the shit out of this when it comes out.

 

When i died i wasn't like that's buggy or it's the games fault. I legit felt like nope i died and that was my fault. No trade kills or deaths behind corners. May not be good for competitive play but I think it will be great for just some random pub games.

I can't recall seeing any bugs when I played (for all of my three games). But I did get frustrated at dying a number of times, in particular due to tanks.

Conquest– The classic Battlefield experience, capture and defend spawn points.

Domination– A more close-quarters, infantry-focused version of Conquest.

Operations– Fight across multiple maps in an extended campaign of Attack and Defense.

Rush– Attackers try to destroy Telegraph Posts while Defenders use them to call in artillery.

War Pigeons– Secure the pigeon coup! Carry a pigeon to safety! Send it off to call in a strike!

Team Deathmatch– Shoot the bad guys, not the good guys.

 

 

I personally like the sound of War Pigeons. Reminds me of HQ from the early CoD days which I always enjoyed. And I do want to see how Operations works. I like the idea, in theory.

I had non stop bugs and glitches. Also tanks seem a bit op, but maybe that is just everyone learning how to take them out/getting unlocks

I'm thinking I might just grab it from JB Hi-Fi, as they have the Standard Edition advertised for $69. Then I'll just pick up the Premium Pass later on, which is on Origin for $60.

In response to Decro, bf4 was all we had so we played it and indured because we had no other options. We now have overwatch (which i think is far superior) and titanfall 2 which I would prefer to play over bf1.

For me, played like the first game / first release of a franchise - did not seem to leverage BF3 or 4, given as Blue aptly described once on TS, "isn't it just a reskin"

 

The formula is a little tired although the purists will still be engaged - will be interesting to see if there is a competitive scene like in BF3 and 4 although I suspect if it does get off the ground it will be fairly short lived.

Still on the fence about this. Having a possible trip to the UK on the books at the moment isn't helping either, missus knows im an avid Battlefield fan too lol, i might end up waiting for release and ask a few mates (on top of clannies) if its worth the purchase or not.

I've bought it now, and had a bit of a play too,\.

It's running at 1080p on Ultra with my 1070, and looks AMAZING.

Plays pretty well, I haven't tried many of the maps, but the one I have played is good. Lots of tight building to building fighting, and spills out nicely onto the street too.

We'll see over time if it's worth the money I suppose.
