It's on steam for $60, or $45 bucks on GMG 

I paid more than that and would pay $60 now. Doubting it will hit the steam sales come xmas.. 

 

They've fixed the major matchmaking issues with the v1.1 patch, it's not perfect but I find a low ping game, full of players, consistently.

Yes. Yes it would be. You can play against AI too which is pretty good (like Raven Shield). So you don't have to jump straight in.
