There is a season 1-3 refresher mainly narrated by Carrie, Brodie and Sol available, I watched it but not a necessity. Season 4 ep 1 is a double episode (and recorded on wiki as 1 and 2 but aired on the same night).

started watching a series call "Scorpion"

its about a group of geniuses that help solve unusual crimes and terrorist activity

not bad so far and worth a look

 

also keen for the season 2 launch of "the 100" in a couple of weeks and the first season was pretty good

Sorry Rallyman and I totally get everyone's opinions are different, but still, I have to very very strongly with lashing of disagreement state that Scorpion is really not worth a look. When my nine year old daughter says loudly during the airplane laptop bit "What the HELL!" and my boy straight out says "This is worse then Znation" and that's a show about Zombies and hes 11, you can take it to the bank that its a stinking pile of poo.  My kids know good tv.

 

On a side note my daughter is standing here and said to say that The Walking Dead starts tonight. She a totally super crazy fan and even made us take her twice to the Melbourne Zombie shuffle walk through the city. We rushed the first year and she was totally pissed at our costume effort but we got better. This pic of the kids is from the first year.

And yeah they are pretty good with scary movies etc. Ella's never woken up with a bad dream except once when she was sick with a fever years ago. The boy regulates himself with what he watches and it works for his mum and I.

Hes a big gamer and grew up playing games like Half Life 2 and F.E.A.R. He actually finished all of Half Life 2 at the age of about 3ish.I had to do the car sections for him as the steering was a bit hard with the strafing.

I still remember freaking at the zombie things on the rooftops but he just smashed them and got on with the game.

 

I spend a lot of time with them explaining reality and fiction and it seems like it has worked for them well so far I don't let them watch shows that portray violence just to be gory without the right context. If it has a place in the story and its done right then I don't have a problem with that. In other words they ain't gunna see a show like Hostel or Saw or play Manhunt.  I let them play GTA5 until Trever showed up and then decided to stop it as it went a bit far for them.

 

They actually have the choice to play games like Dead Rising 3 and Shadow of Mordor and others but nowdays choose games like TF2, Minecraft and others that they can co-op and play together. I love that they choose to play games together and I don't have to steer them to it and my wife thinks it funny that I'm the one that plays all the violent and childish games.

 

also Ellas 9 now and shes watched the very first episode of TWD so she was even younger then..

Btw, Star Wars Rebels has started! 2 eps are out. I'm pretty surprised that it's still very decent quality but the story has been pretty lack luster so far imo.

Bit of a harsh critic phoby, 2 episodes in and already calling the storyline out. I think rebels is panning out well.

 

Homeland stopped being good from season 2ish and settled into mediocrity by season 3.

 

Walking dead is back, bi-curious was the first episode back good. But walking dead has more ups and downs then a bi-polar on acid.

Watched a couple of eps of the show Rally mentioned - Scorpion, looked to me to be a spin on Numb3rs - Finch from American Pie is in it, keep waiting for Stifflers mum to make an appearance. It is one of those solve the problem in an episode types (more accurately in the last 10 mins of the show) will give it a couple more eps, not sure if I will keep watching
