MasterShrive 2,012 Report post Posted May 7, 2014 That might be the lead in for our next Roll The Dice Tale, replacing the Law & Order sound. Tempting to see if we can tell a clan tale around PAX based on a 24 hour timeframe. I might have to give this some thought... Go to top Share this post Link to post

MasterShrive 2,012 Report post Posted July 24, 2014 I finally finished the latest season of 24 last night. Really enjoyed it and I think the 12 hour format worked well enough. Good to see the remaining characters again and it still remains one of my favourite TV shows of all time. It will be interesting to see if they pick it up for a tenth season. Also, Season 2 of Agents of SHIELD will be airing on September 23rd. Go to top Share this post Link to post

MasterShrive 2,012 Report post Posted July 24, 2014 Are they trying for another season of 24? I just assumed it was a one off. Big fan of the show too. From what I read online (which isn't much), I think they are just seeing how things pan out. If it received decent ratings then they may be considering it. I certainly hope they go around again. I really want to go back and watch the first season in particular, but I don't know when I'd find the time . Go to top Share this post Link to post
TheLaw 859 Report post Posted July 31, 2014 Finished watching Ray Donovan season 1 last night and ive caught up on season 2 now aswell, its an interesting program.... Liev Schreiber plays a "fixer" for the powerful law firm Goldman & Drexler, But things start to collapse when Rays dad Mickey (Jon Voight) is released from prison early. Its a pretty decent show, im liking thus far but if you can't handle seeing alot of sex within the first 6 episodes than i guess its not for you Other than that brilliant show! I've linked the trailer below Go to top Share this post Link to post

MasterShrive 2,012 Report post Posted July 31, 2014 All three of which I have, but haven't gotten to yet. I'm currently on Season 2 of The Americans (I'm in a Cold War mood at the moment). That said, I've also started Red Dwarf recently, so I'm slowly going to work through that as my current half-hour comedy. Go to top Share this post Link to post
Phobos 1,208 Report post Posted July 31, 2014 Boardwalk Empire - squee! Penchy, if you enjoy that time period you'll love BE. Go to top Share this post Link to post
fencer 175 Report post Posted July 31, 2014 I read that the next season of Fargo has David Carradine as the lead. Billy Bob was impressive but I think Kill Bill will hold his own. Oh and if you like hot girls and great fight scenes try Banshee. A friend put me on to it when I told him how much I love Hannibal and it being my favorite show. He said his was a toss up between Hannibal and Banshee. 1 Go to top Share this post Link to post

Phobos 1,208 Report post Posted September 10, 2014 Since we were talking about British comedy shows in the other thread, I remembered to bump this show for those who haven't heard of it. Highly recommend it: Utopia http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RmRHnV3NGIY A movie/show that delves into possible government or third party cover ups and conspiracies concerning a virus out break to destroy mankind. It should grip you in from the first episode. Go to top Share this post Link to post
MasterShrive 2,012 Report post Posted September 10, 2014 Is this a comedy Phoby? I'm going to give it a watch either way, but just so I know a bit more before delving in. Go to top Share this post Link to post

MasterShrive 2,012 Report post Posted September 10, 2014 Haha! All good. I won't put it on when I want light relief then. Is it anything like Alias from back in the day? Also, on a spies related note, I watched "Modern Spies" by the BBC yesterday and I highly recommend it for anyone interested in that world. It's a two part series. Phobos 1,208 Report post Posted September 10, 2014 Hmmm, i haven't seen my Alias and any of it i have was a long time ago, so i can't comment on that. Modern Spies looks interesting, i'll get on it, ta. Go to top Share this post Link to post
MasterShrive 2,012 Report post Posted September 10, 2014 Ever watched Spooks? Unrelated to Alias, but after watching Modern Spies, Spooks has moved its way up my "to watch" list considerably. Go to top Share this post Link to post
Phobos 1,208 Report post Posted September 10, 2014 I think i've heard of Spooks in passing but never looked into it. Damn you Shrivey, you'll get me on my British Police show binge again. I still want to watch all of The Bill....all 2400 eps. Go to top Share this post Link to post
MasterShrive 2,012 Report post Posted September 10, 2014 Oh wow! If you ever achieve that let me know. The best I've done is all of Stargate. I'd love to do it again one day. I also want to do JAG and NCIS at some point. But Star Trek is my current long term project. It took me four years to get through TOS and now I'm up to S2 of TNG. Slowly getting there. Another good show along similar lines is "The Unit". Possibly of interest to those who like 24 for example. I also just started Spooks tonight and I'm hooked already I think. You ever watch Blue Heelers or Water Rats Phoby? Go to top Share this post Link to post
