Anyone been watching The Blacklist?

Started but stopped fairly soon.

Where is it on your list? As in, it is okay, but in that category of shows you still don't have time for?

Started strong, honestly i found myself going on fb and imgur as i was watching it because the show just didn't hold my interest and was to predictable (which is not always bad, but the show wasn't engaging enough to be that predictable)

I've watched all of the US Shameless thus far, haven't seen the UK version so have no bias or unerstanding of what the original was like. I've really enjoyed it, that said it's completely different to nearly everything else I've ever watched. Pretty crude at times, good for an occasional laugh and the characters are really likeable despite some of the things they do. There's probably a couple of story lines from across the 3 seasons that dragged a bit and could've ended sooner but overall I think its really good and the current episodes are still strong.

 

For anyone that hasn't seen it, the intto credits give you a good indication of what you're in for.

UK one was occasionally funny but nothing special. I'd put it under the "wouldn't change Chanel if it was on but wouldn't go looking for it" .

 

Haven't watched the US one but you get to see Emmy Rossums boobs a bit according to my friend who watches it.

ok while in Canada my wife and I got into watching Duck Dynasty.

 

its about a family of millionaire red-necks from Louisiana that makes duck calls.

 

its pretty laid back show and they get up to some hilarious stuff in the name of red-neckism

 

so if your after some light hearted fun i recommend a watch

You are sending mixed signals phoby. That show is random crap (unless it got significantly better in after the first 5 episodes)

I'm not generally a vampire fan. But I did like Jonathan Rhys Meyers in Tudors. It's probably a no at this stage, but I've added it to my rather large bookmark list of future possibilities (in case everything else runs out).

 

My immediate priorities now are True Detective and Sopranos, while continuing to watch The Americans, Vikings and Star Trek on the side.

RE JRM, great actor. One thing that instantly pissed me off about the show "hey we have a great actor with a English/Irish accent, lets make him speak with a bad American one so the whole time you are to distracted by his voice to tell if he is any good as Dracula".

I disagree, he does it well and it fits in. The deepness and different tones switching between Alexander and Dracula at specific is spot on.

I watched the first 5 episodes and was very unimpressed. Should i watch the full season or if it hasn't got me by now the next 5 episodes won't do anything.

Dammit!! One of my favourite shows is going to end!! Was kinda hoping for 7 - 8 seasons! But oh well all good things must come to end! If anyone has seen the season ending (Season 5 that is) Let me know what your thoughts on it! Or for those who haven't gotten around to watching it add it to your list! Its definitely one hell of a good show.

Started True Detective on Sunday and finished it today. Very impressed and very well written. There's talk of possible future seasons in an anthology format (ie, different cast and characters each season). If they can keep up that quality then I'd certainly be interested to see where they could go next.

Just watching 24 now. I'd forgotten how revolutionary it was for the time - not just with it's use of 24 hours, but also in the multiple shots on screen etc. I'm also remembering how much I like the characters. I think this series will deserve a rewatch one day.

I thoroughly enjoyed season 1 - thereafter it lost me, like how many times on one person's life can you save the world, save your family, cover your ass from those above who are out to get you all in 24 hours

 

Must admit I did DL the 24 telephone ring and used it for a while on my phone.
