It's only what we've noticed to date. I'm not trying to fit a narrative so to speak, or say the game's trajectory is a forgone conclusion, but I think we can say with some certainty the path it is heading on. The fact there is DLC currently out that not everyone has will also be having a negative impact for those trying to get a game in the vanilla release. It will be interesting to see what happens in a week's time when that is available for all.

 

I'm sure you'll enjoy the game and it's commendable that Law is willing to wait it out. But I also think it's only fair that we paint the picture we're currently seeing so everyone goes in with their eyes wide open.

Spoke to fish about having an itch about wanting to play. I did, and the community isn't what i'd call dead... according to swbfstats there were like 9k players on tonight (22 - 24k at its peak << im assuming release) In saying that with the DLC coming around for everyone in 4 days im sure it'll pick up the same when Christmas comes too... there is still hope for it. I think if DICE Sweden take a page from DICE LA and add free content, and patches every 2 months than the game should live on til the next one, if not than surely dice will learn from the mistakes!

How many of those are aussie players out of interest? They apparently sold 1.5M units. I'd wager mostly for consoles. 

 

Tried for a quick game now before bed, nothing but USA servers or no servers at all for the smaller game modes

Played again this morning... this time i was connected to a US server 130 ping... To be honest with you couldn't feel any lag at all. Made some friends too, they found it odd that an aussie was playing with the US. Also as off 11am this morning there was 10k people playing again not sure how many of those are AUS players. In saying that anyone up for a game this weekend?

Haven't had any issues with getting full servers on console. Supremacy is by far the most played on Xbox One but I haven't really tried any of the other game types yet.

Not surprised, PS4 ran a lot of exclusive stuff for Battlefront like earlier access to certain things and even custom painted Star Wars themed PS4s.

Yeah, but what game types are the playing? There seems to be very little information about that. At least with a server browser you can suss things out a bit more

Very true, the top 3 i seem to find games in are, Supremacy, Walker Assault and Blast. Keen to try out FS and Droid Run but no luck yet

Couldn't work out why when ever i was playing i was constantly getting connected to US servers. Well.. turns out i had my region set to US (explains why i was able to buy stuff during MS's 10 cent deals for 10 days) These are the game modes i found popular.

Walker Assault
Hero Hunt
Fighter Squadron

Drop Zone

Dice are aware of these issues, and alot of people on the forums have said to do this. 

ipconfig /flushdns

Works every time for me, that and restarting the router

Cheers mate, worked like a charm.

 

Also, i really like this new update. nerfing the nade spam and attempted fix on spawns and being able to chat in between rounds now. New game mode is good as is the new map, which makes me sad that the game i was after is 4 dlc's down the road.

The flush dns was a fluke, I have tried multiple times and now i am having trouble finding a single fuckign game.

If i can give anyone advice, don't buy this game. I have not been able to even play it for about a week now. I am just thankful i got my 40 hours worth before the community abandoned this matchmaking wreck.

 I've had the odd trouble not finding a game. DNS Flush is only a temp thing suggested by DICE, they have addressed the community that they are aware of the matchmaking issues and are working on a fix. When i checked swbstats.com this morning there were over 10K players. Found a game in Walker Assault with no troubles but as i said i do get the odd problem.

I'm skeptical about those stats. It said 7,400 when Blue and I tried last night at 23:00 Saturday night...peak time...not one single game. Except a few walker assault games in the US. Nothing for the other game modes. Glad I got my ~30 hours worth out of it too
