Roll The Dice Recruitment Process Applying for Roll The Dice is fairly straight forward, as long as you can follow the points below and have patience. We have a great bunch of people at Roll The Dice and our Recruitment Process is a big part of bringing the right people to our clan. If you are considering making an application for Roll The Dice, please be aware of the following requirements: We are seeking new members active in our supported games, with a positive attitude and who are keen to learn. Being part of a team and working with others are skills we expect to see in new applicants. To apply, you must be over 18 years of age. Exceptions have been made to this rule, and you may talk to the clan's leadership if you feel you are mature enough to still join us. However, you may still be declined. Please do not lie about your age. Joining our forums does not give you membership in our clan. It is a bit more complicated than that. All members of our clan must adhere to our Code of Conduct. If you have issue with any of those points then Roll The Dice is not for you. Roll The Dice does not recruit people with membership in other clans who are active in games we also compete in. The full list of our active ladder teams can be found at the Clan's Official Games page. Roll The Dice has a strict policy against cheating, hacking and glitching. If you apply for our clan your gamertag and any relevant GUIDs will be run through anti-cheat sites. If interested and happy to abide by the above, members of the public need to complete our Application Form. Again, please note that filling out this application form does not grant you membership nor the right to wear our tags. All Clan Members will then consider your application. This process could take up to two weeks, depending on your activity levels. In this time it is advised that you be active on our forums, our game servers and our Team Speak server. The outcome of your application will be notified via email, to the address you gave in your application. Please check this daily. If unsuccessful, we will wish you a good day and you may discuss it further with the clan's leadership if you wish. If successful, you will be granted a two week trial period. As a Recruit, you must then meet all of the requirements outlined in the Recruit Position topic. This states clearly what you are expected to do to gain Full Membership and you should read it before applying. Please note that the Clan's Leadership reserve the right to terminate any application or trial period without notice if any of the above conditions are breached or it is otherwise deemed appropriate. Roll The Dice works very hard to help their Recruits game Full Membership. However, we also expect Recruits to work hard in return. Consider very carefully before applying if Roll The Dice is the clan for you, as this will help save everyone time and effort in the long run. If you have read the above and agree to our Code of Conduct then you are welcome to put in application via the link below: | Link To Application Form | All communication about your application will be sent via email, so please make sure you check this regularly and your email address is accurate.

Roll The Dice Two Year Anniversary Celebrations! Who: One and all are welcome to come and help Roll The Dice celebrate our second year as a clan! What: A general games night of fun and hilarity so we can take the chance to thank our members and all friends of the clan. Where: Join us on our TS3 server at: 173.199.80.178:9204 (password: blackjack) Our CoDBO TeamTact server can be found at: 173.199.81.29:3084 Our CoDBO CG Rules SnD server can be found at: 173.199.81.18:3084 When: Friday, 24th June 2011 We will aim to gather by 7:00pm AEST with any official stuff happening about 8:30pm. Why: Any excuse to relax and game with mates is a good one and being here for two years is another pretty good reason. How: There are no real plans apart from a chance to gather members (past and present) and friends of the clan in one place. From there people can play what they like, be it a stint in CoDBO, a look at some old classics in CoD4 or even CoD2 or CoDUO, a revisit to BC2, a game of LoL, Minecraft or World of Tanks. Anything is possible and with plenty of variety people can just change games and TS channels when they please. At some point in the evening we will then aim to put everyone in the same channel so a few words can be said, and then everyone can split again to play what they enjoy most. RSVP: No RSVP necessary - we just hope to see as many members and friends as possible there on the night. Spread the word and hopefully we'll have a grand time together with a bit of fun. Alea iacta est. Thank you for your time, All Members of Roll The Dice. Members please signup ASAP on vWar -
April Fools 2011 - Sponsorship Deal
Admin replied to MasterShrive's topic in Public General Discussion
Clan Sponsorship Ladies and Gentleman (and Shoes), it is with great pleasure that we have an announcement to make in regards to clan sponsorship. I know people have been waiting a while for this since my last post, and I apologise it has taken so long, but with a wedding this weekend and being very busy at work I've opted to try and get the post out quickly. Hopefully it will be short and hopefully it won't be full of mistakes. Anyway, moving no. We are lucky enough to have some clannies connected to a big name company and after some discussion about our clan, our values, our way of gaming and the success we have had in the past it was agreed that both the clan and this company could benefit from a sponsorship deal. This company is not one you would associate with gaming, but it is certainly a company we all know well. They have been looking to expand their advertising portfolio and we were just lucky enough to have people at the right place at the right time. The dollar value of the sponsorship is significant from the clan's perspective. While we will not disclose the actual amount publicly (we will make mention of the value in the next monthly treasury report however) it should be noted that the value is significant enough to cover the majority of our monthly costs. This will allow the clan to be financially viable with very limited donations required from our members. This will hopefully also mean we can expand in to other areas clan members are interested in as well. Of course though, we in turn have to give something back to the new sponsor. In the grand scheme of things this is not much. Indeed, most of the time it will be nothing more than a name in the background which we can associate ourselves with. We will need to continue to maintain our very high standards when gaming as we now represent not only ourselves, but also another group who has a financial interest. They are not worried about our level of success on the field, but they are interested in the clan continuing to do what it does best. Perhaps now is a good time to unveil our new sponsor. You may already know, depending on your browser settings, but if not I suggest you press Ctrl + F5 to reload our website without your local cache. ...waits for page to load... And now, hopefully, you should see our new banner! (if not download FireFox4 which has just been released. No, FireFox is not our new sponsor as it's a not-for-profit organisation itself...). Yes, the new banner looks a bit glary at the moment and we are getting a new one made up that looks similar to the old banner but also contains the Kellogs brand name. The chap who made the previous banner has assured us he can whip something up over the weekend and we will update that as soon as we get a chance (free of charge too, nice chap). Aside from this announcement we will also add Kellogs to a couple of other locations. Due to the popularity of our servers we have added a rotating message there to fulfil our side of the agreement. This will rotate through just like the rest of the messages and should not impact on anyone gaming in our server. If you haven't been in there yet I suggest you go check it out. The name Kellogs will also be added to our clan descriptions on TS, XFire, Steam, CG and in the Code of Conduct. This will take a little bit of work though so we've been given a few days to update everything. Finally, as a way to kick things off, I'll be changing my username for the first week. Hopefully this will help spread the word for both clannies and the public and will help Kellogs get their value for money as well. Thank you for your time, ~MKS. -

Expected Behaviour During Scrims and Trainings Members of Roll The Dice will always abide by the following rules when scrimming or training, on top of the Expected Behaviour in Game Server requirements. When Training: Always follow the instructions of the person running training. Always stay in spec until you are asked to join a team. Obey the orders given by your Squad Leader during training - especially if they are inexperienced at leading. Don't make their job harder for them - and while you should feel free to make suggestions, do not force your ideas upon them (even if you know they will work). Turn up to training in time for the warm up if possible and make sure you are on TeamSpeak for the duration of training. Do not go AFK during training - leave the server if you have to go away for even just a couple of minutes. Please make use of the calendar to sign up to trainings so we have a rough idea on numbers. Even if you cannot make it, please note this down. Once the practice scrims at training start, please also abide by the scrim rules written below. When Scrimming: The Squad Leaders orders should be followed at all times. For the duration of the scrim everyone will follow the instructions of the person in charge. You are required to stay for the duration of the scrim, unless there is someone ready to swap with. We realise that at times things come up - but please don't start a scrim knowing you have tea half way through it! Generally, a Friendly Scrim will involve two maps. Try to be on TeamSpeak, XFire and Steam at least half an hour before the scrim is due to start. Also, if there is a Pre Scrim Training involved, please turn up to that as early as possible. Do not use global chat, other than to be friendly with the opposition in regards to GL, HF and GG. Some clans, whom we get on with well, we may chat with more often. Do not use team chat at all. You should be communicating using TeamSpeak. People have fallen in to the trap of thinking they were saying something in team chat only to discover they were using global chat - and thus they said something about the other clan which should never have been mentioned. Sign up for scrims on the calendar when they are posted and note down whether you can or cannot make it. Always be sportsman like and never make any accusations towards the other clan. Ever.

Expected Behaviour on TeamSpeak For members of the public: Guests are more than welcome to join us on our TeamSpeak channel and may receive our TS details and the public password from our forums or one of our members. However, if you do not abide by the following you will be asked to leave. This place is our home, where we go to game and have fun. If you choose not to be a part of that and wish to disregard the rules then you may very well be banned from our TS without any further warning. For members of the Roll The Dice: This TeamSpeak channel is our home and it is a place for all of us to sit back and have fun. Guests are more than welcome to join us and they should be treated the same way you would welcome someone in to your own home. It should be noted though that you are responsible for any guests you bring in to TeamSpeak - so make sure they know and understand the rules before you give them our details. Most importantly, clan members are to be respectful of each other and any clan business. Be mindful of who else is on TeamSpeak and be very careful that whatever topic you are discussing (whether it be general gaming, clan trainings or scrim squads) is being discussed in the correct location. Finally, Roll The Dice members will abide by the following in all TeamSpeak servers they visit. However, be mindful when you are a guest of others - as their rules may be even stricter than own and it is their rules which must be respected. TeamSpeak Rules and Regulations: All people on TS are to be respected, regardless of who they are, where they are from, whether they are a member of the public, a part of Roll The Dice or a member of another clan. Abuse towards anyone will never be accepted. Inappropriate Language must be watched at all times. This does not mean you cannot swear (we all let slip on TS occasionally) but it should not become a regular occurrence. In particular, the C word is completely out of bounds and other similar words should be kept to a minimum. If any swearing crosses the line of the first rule then it will be dealt with at the discretion of the Clan's Leadership and/or Senior Members. At all times, members of the public should follow the instructions of Roll The Dice Clan Members. If you feel you have been harshly treated you may contact one of the Leadership and/or Senior Members to follow up the matter. No user of TeamSpeak is to log in to someone else's account nor should they ever use someone else's gaming name. Guest accounts are also not allowed (please rename to your gaming name instead). Non-clan members are welcome in most of our TeamSpeak channels. However, to get there, they should be moved by a TS admin. They should never be given the password to any clan only channels. If a scrim or training is about to take place non-clan members will be asked to leave the particular channel. This will also be the case if important clan business needs to be discussed. The Clan's Leadership may create new channels as required. General Members can create temporary channels if they wish. However, exclusive channels will not be created and all passwords must remain the same as the standard clan password. TeamSpeak is a place for everyone. Please note that our TeamSpeak may be recorded at times, especially if members are recording footage from in game. Members will always strive to do their best to inform people before recording starts. For clan members: If you ever feel someone's behaviour is becoming out of hand please tell them. All clan members have the right to pull someone up if they have over stepped their bounds (this includes other clan members or members of the public). The best way to do this would be a polite message over XFire or Steam. Members should never take offence if someone has asked them to settle down - just take the message on board. However, one clan member should never publicly shame another clan member on TS as that is very disrespectful. We are a united bunch of gamers here and that is the image we will always present to the public. Creating Your Own Channel: Registered members on our TS (ie, not members of the public) can create their own channel if they wish. For example, if you wanted to play some co-op with a mate who isn't in Roll The Dice or if you want to join a different gaming server to where others are playing, you could join our TS and then you can create your own channel so you have your own place to go. The above rules and regulations will still apply to your own channel in regards to attitude and swearing, but it does mean you don't have to worry about being disturbed by other members of the public (or other clan members) if you don't wish.
-
Expected Behaviour on Game Servers For members of the public: you are always more than welcome on our servers (unless the clan is using them for a scrim or a training session in which case they will be locked). However, as a guest in any of our servers it is expected you will abide by the following at all times. If you choose not to you will be asked to leave the server and you could be permanently banned. We do not need to give warnings or explanations for our decisions in regards to our own servers. Nor do we have to let you go through and appeals process. If you don't like this you are welcome to pay for your own server and play there. It is expected that members of the public will follow the instructions of Roll the Dice members. If you are asked to stop glitching for example, it is expected you will do so (regardless of whether you think it is a glitch or not). For more information on what is classed as a glitch on our servers please read that section on our forums. Also, we monitor our servers 24/7. Just because an RtD> member is not present on the server does not mean you can disregard the rules. If you choose to do this, you may very well be banned the next time you try to join the server. For members of Roll the Dice: It is expected that our members will all ways abide by these rules. It is also expected that they will enforce them on our own servers. Members will also follow these rules on all servers they play on so as to protect the clan's reputation. However, they should not try to enforce rules on any other servers - we are not their to police servers for other people. Also, clan members should never find themselves arguing or flaming with "trolls" and other such people. Server Rules and Regulations: All people on our servers are to be respected, regardless of who they are, where they are from, whether they are a member of the public, a part of Roll The Dice or a member of another clan. Abuse towards anyone will never be accepted, for any reason. This includes the use of "noob" and other derogative gaming terms as well as actions such as teabagging. We will also not accept any racial, religious or sexist comments on our servers. None of this negativity will be accepted by Roll The Dice. Inappropriate Language is not accepted on our servers. We do not appreciate those who swear and thus take our servers in to the gutter. This includes all forms of the word, where certain letters may be replaced with other characters or spaces may be used within the word. Deliberate attempts to circumnavigate swear filters may result in a ban. Acronyms which make use of swearing should also be kept to a minimum. No deliberate team killing. We all make mistakes, but any deliberate TKing actions will result in a ban. All people on our servers are expected to show a positive attitude. We do not want to see "bs" or "wtf" thrown about on our servers. Instead, try saying something positive like "gs" or "n1". If you cannot say something nice, cop it on the chin and say nothing at all. No hacking accusations are to be made on our servers, either towards Roll The Dice members nor towards the public. If you believe someone is hacking you are more than welcome to demo it and pass the demo on to Clan Leadership or Senior Members to be investigated. All gaming names must be appropriate when on our server. If you are asked to change your name, please do so. If you do not like that request then please leave. Roll The Dice servers are not single weapon servers. Nobody has the right to make everyone use one particular weapon or one particular kit. People may request to play with "rockets only" or "default sniper kit only" if they wish - but they cannot force others to oblige. Have tolerance for all other players. Some people will have less skill than you. Others will have a lot more. Some people have only just started playing the game while others have thousands of hours clocked up on XFire alone. If you don't like new players who accidentally throw a bad nade, or if you don't like experienced players who can dodge your bullets in a single bound - please find another server to play on. Always display good sportsmanship. At the end of a game say "gg". If someone does a good shot say "gs". If something funny happens feel free to "lol" with them, not at them. When someone new enters the server say "gday" and welcome them in. By doing all these things it will make our servers the best place to game.

Expected Behaviour on Forums For members of the public: You are more than welcome to participate on our forums for whatever relevant reason. You may just wish to socialise and get to know us; you might have a question about gaming; you may have a suggestion in regards to our servers; or you might be from another clan wishing to challenge us in a scrim. We appreciate any company and posts from people outside the clan - but all we ask in return is that you please obey the following rules. If you choose not to, your account may be suspended at the discretion of the Clan's Leadership. For members of the Roll The Dice: It is expected that our members will always abide by these rules, not only on our forums but the forums of others as well (including other clan's, GA and CG). You are not to get dragged in to slinging matches etc. on these forums any more than you would here. If you choose not to abide by these rules, in any circumstance, you may find yourself losing forum access or being removed from the clan at the discretion of the Clan's Leadership. Forum Rules and Regulations: All people on our forums are to be respected, regardless of who they are, where they are from, whether they are a member of the public, a part of RtD> or a member of another clan. Abuse towards anyone will never be accepted, for any reason. These forums will not be about flaming, stirring up trouble or criticising others. Inappropriate language is generally not accepted on these forums. We do not appreciate those who swear and thus take our forums in to the gutter. We do have a filter on the forums which is turned on by default. This does not give people the right to be excessive, however. Deliberate abuse or circumventing the filter will see the offending account banned. Please consider your context while typing. ie, don't use all capitals, don't highlight or change font size of particular words and don't put a dozen question marks in a sentence to make a point. All of these come across in a demanding and negative way - which we do not want. All discussions are to take place in the appropriate area. Gaming in the gaming area. Recruiting in the recruitment area. Clan only business is to stay in the clan only section. All forum names must be appropriate when you sign up and it is preferable that they match your gaming name. Inappropriate names will be changed/deleted. All forum signatures must be appropriate. Members from other clans are welcome to add their clan name, website and XFire/Steam details to their signature if they so choose. However, if we think a signature is out of line or too big then we will change it. Everyone is welcome to have an opinion on these forums if it is expressed in the correct location and in the correct manner. Discussions themselves can be very productive - as long as people do not get personal nor off topic. If this occurs, the topic may be locked and the perpetrators could find their accounts banned. No offensive or illegal material is to ever be posted - in any form. Inappropriate images or comments of a sexual, racial or religious nature, the posting of illegal software/games/music, or the discussion of where to source these, will see the offending user account suspended. Posting the same message to multiple boards and/or topics is not allowed. Multiple & duplicated posts will be deleted and the offending account most likely banned - without the posted topic even being addressed.

Clan Policy on Membership in Other Clans Members are not allowed to be in any other clans for any of our Official Games where we currently compete. If they wish to join another clan in one of our Official Games we would request that that member talk with someone in Leadership. For games which we do not cover, the member may participate in another clan, however; That member, if ever caught glitching, scripting or hacking in that game will be removed from Roll The Dice. Any member who is a part of another clan must still fulfil all of their requirements in Roll The Dice. For example, if you are in one of our squads, or if you run trainings, you must put those roles before any other gaming - just as you would be expected to do regardless of whether you are in another clan or not. If Roll The Dice expands in to other games and a current member has membership in one of those games, then that member will be required to choose between clans. All of the above points are negotiable at the discretion of the Clan's Leadership. If members are open and honest then agreements can usually be reached.

Clan Policy on Glitching, Scripting and Hacking
Admin posted a topic in Policies and Code of Conduct
Clan Policy on Glitching, Scripting and Hacking The following is absolutely non-negotiable. For members of the public: you will abide by the following on our servers every time you play. If you are ever caught breaking these rules you will be banned at the discretion of the Clan Leadership and/or Senior Members. For members of Roll the Dice: you will abide by the following on all servers for all games you play (even if the game in question is not one of our official games). As part of this clan you must uphold our reputation to the highest standard, even if you are not wearing our tags. Your name, your IP address, your CD-keys and you as a person can all be traced back to this clan. If you are ever caught doing the following, anywhere, you will be removed. This will not be negotiated. Scripting: The use of any scripts to aid in gaming are not acceptable. This includes fast fire scripts, scripts for particular maps or nades, reload scripts, etc. Any script built for use within the game, built by external programs, or built using external gaming peripherals (like a G15 keyboard) will all be dealt with at the discretion of the Clan's Leadership and/or Senior Members. Hacking: This clan has zero tolerance for hacking. To provide a friendly, cheat free experience, Roll The Dice streams all servers to PBBans and PunksBusted (where appropriate). If you are caught hacking, you will be banned from our server, and all servers streaming to PBBans and PunksBusted. No Excuses: Any of the above actions will not be excused. Excuses which will not be accepted include, but are not limited to, the following: My *insert family member here* was playing, not me I leant my CD-key to a friend I was just mucking about with some friends, no harm was done Someone stole my key - it wasn't me I was only at a LAN, I didn't know it counted I wasn't using my usual CD-key I didn't think I'd get caught! Oh... I didn't know this was a hack I was just trying it out this once I was playing in my own server - I can do what I like! I wasn't hacking - it was some other program on my computer which set it off My dog did it... Glitching: Glitching is a slightly less frowned upon offence and will not necessarily see an automatic ban. However, if you continue to do any of the following once you have been informed that you should not be doing it, a ban will be put in place at the discretion of the Clan's Leadership and/or Senior Members. Glitching includes, but not limited to: Going outside of or underneath the map Getting to a part of the map that enables you to see through walls, roofs, floors or anything else on the map that was designed to have a non-transparent surface Getting to a part of the map that enables you to see off or below the map's floor level Re-load glitching or other in game exploits -

Official Clan Tags and Name Requirements All members names must be appropriate and non-offensive to both our members and the general public. Any name with swearing or derogative terms will not be acceptable. Names which insult someone will not be acceptable here at Roll The Dice, including on our forums, game servers and TeamSpeak channel. We also discourage the use of numbers within or at the ends of names, where possible. Any member who wishes to change their name must first notify Leadership. On approval, they will be asked to post up the change and update their forum name, in-game name, XFire nickname, TS nickname, ladder nicknames, etc. Members are only required to tag up in our current and previous competitive games (a list can be found here: Official Clan Games. Members are encouraged to use our tags in any of our social games as well, but this is not a strict requirement. The following are our official clan tags: RtD>MemberName - Full Members RtD>MemberName® - Recruits The following shows the specifics for each game we play, as well as how the tags should look on XFire, Steam, TeamSpeak and other forums: Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare RtD>MemberName - Full Members RtD>MemberName® - Recruits Battlefield: Bad Company 2 (Clan Tag Feature) RtD - Full Members RtDr - Recruits Call of Duty: Black Ops RtD>MemberName - Full Members RtD>MemberName® - Recruits Battlefield 3 (Clan Tag Feature) RtD - Full Members RtDr - Recruits Battlefield 4 (Clan Tag Feature) RtD - Full Members RtDr - Recruits Battlelog (Clan Tag Feature) RtD - Full Members RtDr - Recruits XFire RtD>MemberName - Full Members RtD>MemberName® - Recruits Steam RtD>MemberName - Full Members RtD>MemberName® - Recruits TeamSpeak RtD>MemberName - Full Members RtD>MemberName® - Recruits Gaming Forums (including GA and CG) MemberName It is expected that all members will wear their tags with honour in all of our competitive games and we appreciate them wearing them correctly. Members are welcome to choose a second letter in their name to highlight in green if they wish, but they do not have to do so. The above Call of Duty example is used to break up the otherwise large amount of white in the name. For Call of Duty 1 through to 4 you can use the following console command to get your name correct (just copy and paste): /name ^2R^7t^2D>M^7ember^2N^7ame Call of Duty: World at War, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4 all use a persistent sign up name. Do not include your tags in this name - instead use the clan tag feature provided. For the Call of Duty games on Steam your name will match your Steam nickname, which should already be set correctly. Other social games such as League of Legends and Minecraft do not have a clan tag feature and thus clan tags are not required. Finally, we request that members do not use our tags on CyberGame or GameArena as it looks messy in team lists and when posting. Instead, if members would like to show their association to Roll The Dice they are encouraged to make use of the signature features or they may use the clan logo as their avatar.

Clan Expectations on Attitude Roll The Dice does not ask for much from its members when gaming other than to have fun, be active and to have the right attitude. However, because this is all we ask, it is hoped members will fulfil these requirements to the best of their abilities. Below we have tried to clarify exactly what attitude we expect so that current and potential members all have an understanding. Having Fun: This is by far the most important point in regards to this clan. We want all members to have fun and enjoy their gaming whenever they are representing Roll The Dice. This could be anything including social gaming on a random server, attending training, helping out in a friendly scrim or participating in one of our squads. However you enjoy your time in Roll The Dice is fine by us - as long as you are abiding by the rest of our Policies and Code of Conduct. There is nothing more fun in gaming than sharing good times as a group. Indeed, that is why we have all joined Roll The Dice and this is why many of us have thousands of XFire hours in only a few select games. Long after the game should have been put back on the shelf it still lives on - not because of the game itself but because of the company and companionship we still find within that game and within this clan. Attitude - It's Not About Skill: In having fun though we also want members to have the right attitude in regards to their gaming. We do not want you to have to have fun at the expense of others - whether they be members of this clan, members of another clan or members of the general public. We want to have fun, but we want to be positive as well. Most importantly though we want all members to have the attitude of always trying to improve their gaming. We, as the leadership of this clan, can ask this of you simply because it is what we all ask of ourselves. Each and everyone one of us has started off at the bottom of the gaming heap. We each had to learn, at one time or another, how to play our chosen game. We each had to learn how to communicate and become valuable members of a team. We each had to learn how to use different weapons in different situations and on different maps. And in doing this, our KDR and our score were the last things on our minds. After thousands of hours of gaming we are still learning - but we are always striving to improve. And this is what we ask of our members. The reason we ask this is because we want all members of Roll The Dice to be the best they can be when it comes to trainings, scrims and/or competitive game play. As part of this, we urge members to consider the following when gaming under the Roll the Dice banner. We also urge you to take no notice of your KDR or your score - that is not important, neither during pub play, nor during scrims. The important thing is to do your best while having a go at something different. Get to know all the weapons. At a minimum, you should play through all the kill challenges on the weapons. Then, practice them again every so often. You might hate using a particular SMG, or you might hate sniping - but you never know when you may be asked to do it in a scrim or at training. Always attempt the impossible! We have members here at Roll the Dice who are able to enter rooms full of 5+ enemies and still come out on top. Or they can weave a nade through the eye on a needle to get that important kill. Or they'll dodge a thousand bullets to get across a street to get that winning defuse. Fact of the matter is, they did not learn these skills over night - and if you check their XFire hours you'll see just how much time and effort they have put in to their gaming. We do not expect you to be able to do the above - but what we urge you to do is try! The first 19 times you might fail, but the next time you may just pull it off. As the old saying goes, practice makes perfect. Our best players can pull off these moves when it counts because they do them on a daily basis - often to the amazement of those watching (and often to their amazement too!). Restrict your kits to encourage good play. This is a very tough point for some, but it is important. When setting up your kits for your games you need to use the same guidelines as you'd find in the competitive mods so you have the best chance to succeed when it comes to scrimming. The impossible moves that the best players pull off are not completed with the aid of perks and attachments outside of the competitive selection. Fact is, if they relied on weapons and perks not available in scrims then they would not be able to do those moves when it really counted. When learning new weapons or new moves, stick with kit roll outs which will work in a scrim - don't fall to the temptation of using something easier while you try to find your feet. This will only give you a false sense of security. Instead, tough it out, take the hits when they come and then you'll really be able to take appreciation of what you achieve as you improve. Ask questions, observe the skilful players and take notes for next time. This is probably the most important thing you can do to improve your gaming and thus have the right attitude for Roll The Dice. If you see someone do something great, ask them how they did it. If someone is carving up during a particular game, spec them for a bit. And most importantly, whatever you discover, file it away in your memory so that you can practice it for next time. You will learn valuable new things about weapons, maps and other clans simply by watching someone in action. In following the dot points above we do not expect all of our members to become gaming elite. Indeed, we all have different learning curves and even by using the following it could take us years to improve. But how long it takes and how much you improve is not important - all that we ask is that you give it your best shot.

Clan Expectations on Participation Roll The Dice is about having fun and it certainly has a social component - however, we do expect our members to be active. We do not expect you to give more time than you can afford to give, as everybody's time is precious, but in general we expect the following: Forums. Pop by the forums every couple of days to check for any important announcements, scrims, trainings, clan events, etc. It is by far the best way to keep involved with the clan when not gaming. Failure to post at least once a month may result in termination of membership. Calendar. Please make use of the calendar whenever possible to note down if you can make a scrim, training or other clan event. We want to know your status for any of these, whether it be "Yes", "Yes/No" or "No". XFire, Steam and Origin. Jump on XFire and Steam or Origin every couple of days - just to show you are still about. Even if you cannot game, its nice to see a friendly face online. Members are required to use XFire while playing any of the Clan's Official Games, and may use Steam and Origin when required. All three programs have a clan group which members are required to join. TeamSpeak. Using TeamSpeak is a huge aspect of this clan. It is where people hangout while gaming and where a lot of socialisation occurs. It is the best way to get to know the members of the clan and also a great way to keep in contact. Members are encouraged to jump on TeamSpeak whenever they are gaming, so they can practice their communication if gaming with someone else or quite simply just have a catch up. Trainings. It is hoped that members will attend trainings whenever possible. This is not a requirement and members will sometimes have to put other events in real life ahead of training nights. However, it is expected that if a member is online and available that they will train - and not just play a different game at their own leisure. It is also expected that they will attend trainings at least once every few weeks, if possible. Friendly Scrims. Members will have the opportunity to participate in friendly scrims on a regular basis. Like training, these are not compulsory. However, it is hoped that members will help out in scrims if numbers are needed and it is also expected they will scrim at least a couple of times each month to keep their skills up. Competitive Scrims. If you are a member of one of our squads it is expected you will make yourself available for the majority of the squad's activities. This includes reserve members. We want those participating in our squads to be available as often as possible to help further our ladder ambitions. We all realise that things in the offline world can take us away at a moments notice and sometimes we could be absent from gaming for weeks or months at a time. Fact is, there are many more important things than gaming - regardless of how serious some of us may take it. All we ask is that you try to give your best in regards to time available and if you are going away for an extended period please let us know. If someone has told us they are going away then their membership in the clan can be put on hold. However, if you've just gone inactive for a couple of months without telling anyone you may find your membership revoked upon your return.
