Axe and myself have been playing this lately. New patch is about to be released. Usually 3-4 servers up every night. There's good size 6man squads, commander etc. Doesn't feel like a running simlulator too. *who is this guy ?* It's a me, a Simio !

I'd say if you can, wait. Game is buggy AF. Went like 8 hours without anything too bad, just t-poses and clipping and shit. Right up until it hard crashed my PC. I guess it was the game telling me to stop playing for the day. I've been playing cdpr games since the first Witcher game so I didn't have the self restraint to wait (plus I needed something. To test the 3080 on). Game is super pretty, and ray tracing is another level in this game. Although even with a ryzen 3950 and a GTX 3080 maxed out settings (dlss on) I'm still only getting between 55-75 fps so it's a hungry boy (frame rate it much better with ray tracing off) Night city is something else though. I've never played a game that has a city as good as this. I am continuously stopping and just looking at what's going on. First game that uses "blocking" in there "cutscenes". E.g Someone talking to you in an office won't just sit there stuck Skyrim/fallout lock. They get up, look out the window, poor themselves a drink and then come back. Very immersive and Iove the way they are telling the story. I'm hooked and am ready to give my Christmas holidays to it but if you can wait, wait.

Jebus and I played a few rounds tonight with some randoms. It was quite fun. Rounds are quick and even when you're "dead" there's stuff to do. Would be great fun with a server full of clannies.

Welp, it seems the patch has fixed some of the mining related issues. I managed to get about 100t of Tritium in about an hour, which is better than 32t in the same time frame before the patch. Tritium is still single digits in Colonia stations, hopefully they might normalise over the next few days. In better news, while I was mining, I started taking to another CMDR who just got to Colonia with his carrier. I mentioned that I'm trying to get the fuel we needed to do the trip to Sag A*. So, he ended up selling me 4k of his Tritium for my carrier, and now thanks to him, we are go for the Galactic Centre trip! I'll probably be departing either today (after I wake up) or Wednesday. The return trip is about the same distance as the Bubble-Colonia one-way, so I should be able to jump the carrier out to there in one day, head out for a bit so you guys who came along can see the centre, then we can either head back to Colonia, hope the stations have restocked their Tritium (or mine it) & fill it up again to head back home. Or, I try to mine it near the centre, fill it up that way & head directly back to the bubble from there. Either way, I'll post the itinerary when I start the trip.

This sounds like a Shrive problem. I can see a lot of the heavy lifting in games being done on cloud technology in the future, gonna have to find a use for all these crypto farms. But in reality we'll probably still be using technology for shit like this

In the middle of 2017 I bought my Gigabyte GTX 1080 Ti Aorus 11GB for $1,196. Last week during the Black Friday sales I bought a Gigabyte RTX 3060 Ti Elite for $1,289. Today on Ebay I sold the 1080 Ti for $1000. That's just nuts. The 3060 Ti only gains about 10% in terms of performance. The new card scored 22,009 on Fire Strike in 3D Mark. The 1080 Ti scored 20,376. So for approximately 10% more I've picked up 10% extra frames. But the old graphics card was interfering with the sound card; an issue that is now fixed. And I've gained ray tracing if I want to try it, as well as access to Nvidia's broadcast software which can do mic and webcam filtering. So overall I am very happy with this exchange.

So two nights ago I had an hour to kill before going to bed. I decided I'd fire up Frostpunk, which I'd had in my library for quite some time. This was a mistake. Hours later I was still battling to keep my people alive. Numerous times they kicked me out, even though I think we were heading down the right path. I'd load a saved game and then continue from there, going down the religious path.

Pretty easily...it's in Steam.

Look, I'm not proud of what happened, but a kill's a kill. I got the kill because I was the last person to do damage to the BRDM, which happened when it ran me over. I got confused, didn't realise I was safe, and ran back at it.

So I got a call from Barnaby Joyce's office today. They rang Telstra and have organized compensation for us. we are getting $375 in credit on the bill. $25 off our plan till the contract ends and they aren't charging us for the modem. Our case manager should call either dad or my step mum today to confirm this.

Enjoying some Rocket League games last night with my brother and nephew. Winning some games, then came up against this team that it was really really close... noticed a player on the other team had RtD in their name... just a minute... that's @Yeowie. Good games mate, was close up until the end of the second game. Your aerial skills are way better than what I can do. Also doing my usual spruiking of the OCE championship this coming weekend. I will be watching but with the kids here I won't be in voice chat. Game times aren't up yet, but will be later this week.

By the sounds of it Battalion might have a free weekend coming up soon. I'm not too sure when but @MasterShrive Free's free and its better than three. @Duckz, @Phobos and I played it a bit over the wekend feels like its improved a lot since we first played in beta. Shrouds been playing this game heaps lately and loves it, so never know it could hang around as a decent game Shroud is nutty. @bprc might wanna repurchase this game.

Just another PUBG outing with @bprc and @Yeowie. Note that BP is talking from the very start about excuses for how he's going to die. Then pay attention to his actual death. He also gets us killed post-credits...

Hmmm, "live service" is a lot better than paid DLC. A fractured community because of maps/content wasn't enjoyable. They just need to roll out new maps at a reasonable rate to keep it fresh. But I would say BFV and games on a whole are suffering from gamer fatigue. Take RtD, when was the last time we all jumped on for nights of gaming like we used to during the BF3 days. Time changes, people have other priorities; new family(Sponty, grats on the baby boy), new jobs or just plain getting older. It's not always really the lack of content if the base game is good. For me, I've now well passed my hours in BFV(186) than I have in BF4(139) and I'm close to matching my BF3 time played(235). I've really enjoyed BFV as my casual game and there's been enough to keep my interested so far.
